Water Fast: 2022-2023

After reviewing my blog Im a bit embarrassed that I sound alot like a broken record. I know what I should do but I keep repeating the same lessons. So this is my opportunity to once and for all get back on track. I was doing ok with weight loss initially and then I got really sick during my last cycle and couldn’t eat then I started to gain weight eating the same things I had been losing weight eating. I finally got tired of the yo-yo and I need to train my body that I am in control here. I will no longer be led by my vessel, either we in this together or I am in control. So it begins…

Week #1

Day Description

Thursday 12/29/22
Significant amount of hunger but Im staying the course. I had a time last night eating what I wanted and gained 2.1lbs. Doesn’t matter, its time to be the woman I keep asking to come forth.

Friday 12/30/22
Reduced hunger and the energy is absolutely amazing! #pause Nothing feels better than this. Went on an outing, painted and danced. Had a great day.

Saturday 12/31/22
Today was tough! Not from hunger but my mind wanting to eat. I have to review my other journals to see if this has happened before. I stood fast though and didn’t break.

Follow Up: I broke here I had the last bit of my lasagna. I forgot to put throw it away so thats on me. I think my subconscious probably intentionally saved it as I had thrown everything else away. Sneaky sneaky. Became a little gassy from the cheese of course.

Feeling good again today, no hunger pains thank goodness those are the worst. I was still able to maintain weight loss so Im keeping it going and moving on. I feel so good, plenty of energy. I needed this, this makes me into “Super Woman”

Monday 1/2/23
Once again I feel great and went on a little outing. I was a bit weak getting dressed and I added some country time lemonade to my water to get the energy I needed to walk the park and it worked like a charm. I realized now during the fast that the veil of reality is thin when fasting so I wont drive again while Im fasting but take an Uber. Later in the night I licked on some red pepper Tahini sauce from @starinfinitefood that I made. I just wanted a different taste in my mouth!

Follow Up: Looked at my 2017 Fast and on Day #4 I had a strange occurance as well.

Tuesday 1/3/23
Still feeling great. I noticed I had a small bursted vein (I think) in my right eye, its clearing up now but I had a CRAZY dream last night and Im not surprised something happened when I was trying to remove the thingies crawling under my skin in the dream.

Wednesday 1/4/23
Last night was odd as I had to make myself sleep my normal hours, which I did NOT want to do. I have to start changing my schedule and if necessary getting up in the middle of night to get thing done. All that sleeping just didn’t feel right to me. As of today I feel great, once again, and my total weight loss is 9.4lbs in 7 days. I was reading over my past entries and noticed I was having headaches and I didn’t have any this time and I am sure this was from dehydration so Im glad Im getting enough water this time around. Here’s to another week!

Yesterday I actually took a nap when I was sleepy and it made all the difference. I was able to wake up on my own before the alarm went off! Still feeling great, getting alot accomplished around the house. I want to feel like this forever. Also I took my week’s photo and I can actually see how Im losing weight in my face so Im excited.

Now that I have changed my sleeping habits things are so much better, still going strong. Was a bit concerned about losing muscle mass but noted that if you are fat then there is nothing to worry about. This should probably not be done by smaller people is what the doctor noted, as they are more muscle than fat and your body would start to break down muscle to survive since fat is not available. Good to know. One other thing, my body does not like cold water, had to stop drinking it. It seems its a bit much for me to handle now that Im fasting. So? No cold water

Surpassed a milestone today !! Woohoo! Needed to run a lot of errands today made sure I had lemonade for energy early on and it was perfect! Full of energy and content. Good job Sharron! Keep up the excellent work!

I think a water fast should also be accompanied with abstinence, an orgasm at this point could probably drive you literally insane its way too much lol. Other than that observation nothing new to note, still feeling amazing!

Tuesday 1/10/23
Oh yesterday I had a time! I danced and went walking and really enjoyed myself. I feel so good, sigh, so good. I wouldn’t trade this for the world. So I’ve decided every day I am going to go for a walk and then for 2 days a week Im going to do strength training so my muscles are defined when the fat has all shedded.  Im so excited…oh Im starting to think my sinuses are clearing up but not really sure. Since I’ve been at The Springs I have had a dry nose something awful but that seems to be dissipating…I’ll pay more attention to it and report back.

Follow-Up: So today was supposed to be the day I introduced my strength training, I hit my head on the door knob and left a long scar down my forehead, stabbed a chair in between my toes…listen yesterday I was a hot ass mess and need a complete do over lol decided to move my strength training to next week. Today I just needed to go and sit down somewhere lol.

I had a time last night lol I really enjoyed myself. I sang and danced on my balcony until I was absolutely exhausted! Great day!

I woke up with a “crook” in my neck and I just got out of bed lol still feeling great however slow to start today. I do want to comment that I’ve reduced my BP meds to half a pill a day and I wake up now and my BP is around 134/86 which is great from a standard of 160/90 as a base. My elevation allergies are all but gone, I was going throw tissue something serious. I am going to record my sleep tonight and still see if I can hear snoring. What else has improved, my knees, I can get on the floor and getup without using my hands. My face is more narrow, energy levels are amazing, legs and ankles are no longer swollen, skin is clear, eyes are clearer, I mean jeez what hasn’t improved is a better question…don’t know if anything hadn’t improved. I am going to be hard pressed to want to stop doing this. :-(

Still going strong, my cycle is on and this is SUPER hard for me. Im not sure if Im going to make it through the entire fast but still going strong.

Ok got my second wind, started to have second thoughts because I don’t want loose skin but after listening to this guy I feel better about it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UA2L6jnvT4Y. I also had been taking salt baths and was worried that it would dry out my skin on second thought but now I realize its causing my body to retain water. Ok fears released. Still going.
